how do i choose an avatar after creating an account?

i have an account but i dobt have an avatar. how do i get an avatar now?

You do have an avatar. Its part of the sign up process. Its impossible to have an account and no starter avatar. You just maybe didn't realize it or remember that part.

The more essential question is: Did you install a viewer? You can't acess Second Life without it, because its not a browser game.

Remember that step with the circle of people that spins around and you pick one to looks at?  That's your avatar for now.  When you log in, that is what you will look like.  You can change your appearance at any time too.  There is an avatar picker button on the HUD where you can pick any of the starting avatars to change into.
