Now that I can turn on shadows, I can't take snapshots anymore!

Recently I was asking about not being able to turn on shadows with yet a brand new graphic card. Turns out someone had told me I needed Hardware Skinning off, but it was the opposite.

 

So... I turned them on, it was beautiful! Took maybe 3 or 4 pictures. Then, I couldn't anymore. I noticed it all started when I modified my Windlight settings. I tried unsintalling, reinstalling. Nothing. I tried putting sky at lowest possible, using a default setting, I tried chaning the resolution... Worked! But only ONCE.

 

So now, I can repeat this over and over... Log on, take one snap. Take another... instant crash.

 

I am getting more and more disapointed, I have paid over 500$ in various updates and now nothing is merely usable!!

Any assistance on this instant-crash issue? Oh and yes, my drivers are up to date :)

Does taking pictures with shadows disabled work fine? If so then this is probably a bug, which you should report on jira.

You don`t say which card you have, but I have an ATI card & if have VBO enabled I do the instant crash thing when I click to upload a texture or click to take a snap.

If you also have an ATI card, try disabling VBO in graphics > hardware.
