You must either:

• Own the land the skybox is over, or
• Rent the land.  You need to belong to the group the land is owned by, and have the required permission in your group role
• Belong to a group that owns the land (whether or not it's a rental group), and have the required permission in your group role.

If your group role does not give you the ability to set the land's music stream, talk to your landlord/group owner.

You can use a shared media player otherwise known as Media on a Prim.  You can make your own or buy one.  There are several on MP.  You don't need to own land to do this.

Note that other people will be able to hear the music, even if they have the land music turned off,  if they are close enough to your skybox (roughly 100 meters) and may complain about it.  They can turn it off by camming into your home and clicking the controls.  That link explains how.  However your landlord may object to it because it shouldn't be up to other tenants to have to do this everytime you play music.

You should check with your landlord before you do this to see if they object to it.
