i have purplish lines following me in secondlife,they are like jail bars,

That might be a problem with your graphics card.  I get them every once in a while, but zooming my camera out and back generally makes them go away.

I had the same issue. I found that when i turned off hardware skinning in preferences it kindly fixed it..
