i am trying to reinstall firestorm viewer and i get a failed-download error

That's not a failed download error.  It's exactly what it says, a message that your graphics card is using outdated drivers.  Go to the proper web site and update the drivers >>> https://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Graphics-cards/ta-p/700073#Section_.1.5 

ETA:  Note, however, that if you are using a computer with an Intel series 2000 graphics chip, there are no drivers available for Windows 10 that will support the 3D graphics that SL depends on.
