0 ChinRey
Sometimes you can, sometimes you can't. The limitations are: The item has to either be modifiable or come with a resizer script already installed. No single part of the item can be smaller than 0.1 cm. This is often a problem with shoes since they are often made from many very small parts. No single part of the item can be bigger than 64 - that's never a problem with wearables though. Fitted mesh can not be resized. If you want to resize something, first make sure you have a backup copy! If something goes wrong (and it probably will if you've never tried it before), just delete, create a new copy and try again. To resize manually, right-click on the item and select "Edit". Then Hold down the ctrl and shift keys, click on one of the little white boxes that appear and drag it until you get the right size. Or, perhaps better, get a copy of a free general purpose resizer script, such as the MBAGR. Drag the script onto the item, click on it and there you go!
0 Nalates Urriah
There are system clothes and attachments. In inventory the item's icon tells you which it is. Skin, for example, has its own icon. Skin is a texture/image. There is no way to rez an image in world without putting it on something, an avatar or prim. Since the system saw a 'Skin image' uploaded as a skin it knows the image should only be placed on an avatar. So, we cannot normally rez a skin anywhere except on an avatar. Attachments are represented by a cube icon. Those can be rez'd any place where the land owner allows things to be rez'd. Look in the address field at the top of the screen to see the area's permissions. float your cursor over those icons to see the pop up explanations. If we choose to 'wear'/attach the item, it can be rez'd almost anywhere.
