Second Life is Buyer Beware, that means your only recourse is to work with the supplier of your items.

It's not so much an issue of reporting it to the Lindens ~ as you should contact the creator of the item and ask them if they're able to fix it.  Most creators are more than happy to help with simple misunderstandings and small technical problems.

 

Also ~ if you're on a parcel that dis-allows scripts, scripted content will not work.

If you bought the item on the Marketplace and you are having no joy with the seller then threaten a bad review, that can often incite them to sort it out for you.

I would start by contacting the seller and seeing if they can fix the item. Give them some time to respond.

If they never get around to fixing it, and you bought it on Marketplace, you can flag the item on the Marketplace page just under the Facebook like button on the right-hand-side of the page.

If you bought it in-world then I'm not sure if you can really do anything about it.
