Is there any possible way to wear a classic avi shirt on a mesh body?

I found an adorable shirt layer at the Faery Market that I would love to wear with my Maitreya body because after being with mesh for so long, I can hardly bear to look at the rough design of the classic avatar. I've tried tweaking the body to make it look better at least with the shirt on, but no cigar. I had a brain fart and tried applying it to the mesh body. But it does not appear to be Omega friendly. Is there any way at all that I can work around that? Is there some wonderful magical script that can either put the shirt layer on the mesh as is, or make the shirt omega friendly? Is this a stupid question? lol Do I just need to overlook the flaws of the classic avatar while I'm wearing the shirt?

For a "system" layer to work on a mesh body, the texture has to be loaded into an applier. You might ask the maker about doing Omega appliers, especially since they work with the Yabusaka and Immortals petite avis.

The simplest thing to do is your last idea...overlook the flaws of the classic avatar body.

Classic clothing layers cannot be directly applied to mesh body parts...the texture of the clothing needs to be put into an "applier" for that body part.  Contact the creator of your favorite classic clothing items and ask if they will consider bringing out an updated version with appliers.
