Christopher Vestel Posted December 22, 2015 Share Posted December 22, 2015 So I have this mesh of a variation of Dark Maul's lightsaber, upon retexturing and changing the tint of certain faces, the tints and textures either revert or just go black. Any idea what this is about? What Ive done so far.Tested on Singularity and SL Viewer, same results.Cleared Cache.When tinting regular prims, it does not repeat, the tint and texture hold. Cathy Foil Posted December 22, 2015 Share Posted December 22, 2015 If you are using Maya make sure you only have one UV set. Mesh in SL can only have one UV set. arton Rotaru Posted December 22, 2015 Share Posted December 22, 2015 It's probably failing to work because you are on the dark side of the force. A little bit more information about your mesh could be helpful. However, besides what Cathy said already, the currently common issues with materials is spaces in the materials name, or more than 21k triangles in a single material.
