I decided to use 4 panes to create my window since lame SL wont make even frame edges for a single pane. and now of course I have a tiling problem that I would not have if the bloody thing were one single frame for the window.

Ive seen some methods in the archives. the math makes my head hurt. so Ima upload the photo here and maybe I can get some really PLAIN ideas on how to make these 4 panes look like one by stretching the tile across them and not have these edges.

If you use the Planar mapping method, you will have to dial down the Horizontal & Vertical Scale quite a bit.

However, how about this, with the default mapping method. Since the prims are halved in size, try with the settings shown in the image. Note that the gradient map I used tiles horizontally, but not vertically. So I had to rotate the texture by 90 degrees due to how the frames are constructed.
