Missing inventory items ho do I find

I purchased the same item twice,   unpacked it  and used it    put it back in my inventory.   The next day I went to get it and it was gone.    I have tried everything I can do to find it.   Any other suggestions?

There are lots of possibilties.  My favorite dumb mistake is to drag an item with my mouse and let go of it just a wee bit too soon, so it falls into the wrong folder.  I actually do that a lot.  Fortunately, your inventory has a Recent tab.  If you click the little gear icon in its lower left corner and select Show Filters, you can set a window of time and look for only those items that you added to inventory during that period.  I find a lot of misfiled things that way.  If you remember the item's name or even a part of it, you can also just type it in the Search field to locate it.

Have you tried Search?  The top of your inventory has a "Search" feature if you remember the name of it.
