Question

Hi, i have 2 questions.

We have a M sim and i was wondering if its allowed to have a slot machine that uses sim token we have specially for our sim.  these tokens do not interact in any way with L$ and are just for fun.

Would that ok as an object or would it be subject to the skill gaming policy.

Also would such an object bne allowed on a Mature sim or would the sim rating have to be updated to Adult?

Lastly would it be allowed if the tokens can be exchanged for prizes - objects only.

The SL Gambling Policy says,

It is a violation of this policy to wager in games in the Second Life® environment operated on Linden Lab servers if such games:

  1. Rely on chance or random number generation to determine a winner,
    OR
  2. Rely on the outcome of real-life organized sporting events,

AND provide a payout in

  1. Linden Dollars (L$)
    OR
  2. Any real-world currency or thing of value.

As long as your game doesn't run afoul of those limits, you're probably OK. Please note, however, that Lindens never come to this resident-to-resident Answers site and that nobody here can give you a guaranteed legal opinion.
