please give us some information about your system, go to help in the viewer and copy the info from the "about" tab, come back to this post and choose edit to add the info. Also give some details about your connection.

another solution can be, clear your cache, go to a emty region and wait till it's loaded again.

or ... do a character test, this is a reset to the default avatar, and you can start over again changing yourself.

If this error keeps returning there is something what you wear causing it, possible a tattoo or another item.

It's unusual to have this problem as newbie.
