An item disappeared in front of me when I was rezzing it, claiming that I had no rez rights on my own land. Where did it go?

Check your Lost & Found folder and then the extreme SW corner of your region at <0.0,0.0,0.0>.  You may have rezzed something that lapped onto a neighbor's parcel, or you may have forgotten to wear the proper group tag when youj were rezzing things.
