Why does my screen freeze up after taking a pic? SL crashes!

I use to be able to take a pic inworld and then save to my desktop.  Now, ever since the update around Halloween, I haven't been able to.  My screen just freezes, and I have to force quit SL.  Still NO PIC!  This is so freaking frustrating. You don't give any answers.  Others are having the same problem.  So what is going on?  Why don't you fix this?

This is a resident-to-resident Answer site.  We're all SL residents like you, so we didn't break anything and can't fix it either.  Lindens never come here.

However, this sort of error crops up every once in a while.  It sometimes affects people who have been using SL in Full Screen mode, and it may affect some residents whose graphics drivers are out of date (see https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-7406 ).  Try downloading and installing current graphics drivers from the manufacturer of your graphics card and see if that helps >>> http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Graphics-cards/ta-p/700073#Section_.1.5
