I need to do a market analysis for my business plan. How do I find this information for Second Life?

I am sorry to tell you that LL does not publish market data about SL.  They used to issue period reports, but no longer.  They stopped in 2009.

That depends on exactly what market you need to analyze.  If it's your own SL business, you can download your Transaction History monthly from your dashboard at secondlife.com >>> Account.  You must remember to do it each month, however, because that history only retains records for the past 32 days.  Your Order History on Marketplace, on the other hand, contains all transactions there since you started using Marketplace.  If you examine other parts of the Account section of your dashboard, you will find records of other bill payments you have made to Linden Lab.

If you are hoping to analyze Linden Lab's business, however, Amethyst is right.  Linden Lab is a private corporation and does not publish its balance sheet publicly.  You can find some interesting financial data at gridsurvey.com, specifically if you are interested in trends in the LindeX, but nothing about the inner workings of the Lab.
