second life multi GPU support?!

with 4k becoming readily available and myself using ultrawide 1440p it would be really nice to be able to utilize a second gpu for pushing frames. at 3440x1440 on ultra sl crawls at around 20 fps with a single gpu. and forget about 4k. Are there any plans to let users benefit from sli/crossfire in the near future?

people have been asking for years, but SL is limited with how it renders.  the new SL2 might, but they have not given any real specifics yet on how or what it is.   but we can wish no?

No idea if that works, I don't have SLI.
