We need Voice Morphing?

Many of us, users of Second Life received with deep worry the news that the new  Second Life viewer includes "service" of   Voice Morphing.

Is widely known that inside Second Life there are services that need an authentication of voice or sex and communities like lesbians who prefers members of same gender. On the other hand, Second Life is not a game, but it is an important network of social communication as it is Messenger, Facebook or Skype. Facilitating modification of  voice, will make possible to all kinds of jokers and unscrupulous people to deceive others.

I believe that it is an enormous step backwards in the defense of the integrity of the users.

Experimenting this way Linden Lab helps the liars and predators to cheat to potential love partners or communities inside and out of Second Life. A very big mistake.

That voice changer is pretty much worthless for gender changing! Sounds totally hilarious and totally easy to figure out.

Maybe sounds like you say, but I'm writing about CONCEPT. Perhaps today is not good but is the first pace of something wrong that don't need to be included as part of SL. The questions remains: WHY WE NEED SOMETHING LIKE THAT???

Voice morpher was mainly intended for RP and fun,there are much more voice options for funny,creepy or just weird sounding voices than for gender changing!

When you  listen to someone who uses voice morpher (doesnt matter if its one integrated in to SL2 viewer or standalone program ) you will hear background noises that are distorted ewen if voice sounds perfect!That's why you can easy tell if its morphed voice or real deal! Just ask one you are talking to to turn on TV or play some music,if its distorted its voice morpher!

Before LL integrated voice morphing in to the viewer there wore some good morphers,ewen free ones that you could easy make work with SL and change your voice so concept of changing voice is not something new,its older than SL is!Way older!

 

There will always be ppl who will fall for it but in general its easy to see thru it!

As with anny tool,program or addon there will always be ppl who will just have fun and enjoy it and there will also be ppl who will abuse it!
