You are probably suffering from something called "bake fail". Here are two pages that deal with that...

Bake Fail is sometimes the result of connection issues. SL is terribly finicky about the quality and latency of the connection, but not so much about the speed. You may have a super zippy link, but if it's dropping packets, or there is excessive delay in getting those packets between you and the servers, problems will arise. If you see yourself as a cloud, or as a solid egg, then you have bake fail, as Maddy suggests.

If you can't see yourself at all, then you might be wearing an alpha mask, a layer designed to hide your "standard" body so that you can wear a different, "mesh" body over it.  Hit CTRL+I to open your Inventory, and type (WORN  (with the left parenthesis only) in the search box.

Look for any items called "alpha" or which have the inventory symbol of a shirt with a grid texture on it.  Right click any that you find and choose Take Off or Remove from Current Outfit.

The error called *Failed to find ***** in Database* I had that problem too. it took a long time to figure it out, even with help/contact with support, but here is what we found out and what worked for us. I do hope it will work for you aswell. Good luck with it.   Failed to find in Database ANSWER
