Why doesn't phantom work on Emerald viewer ?

because my friend can see me when I use it and I can see her when she uses it.

Well, they do have a new feature showing who has you on invisible.

Makes the whole 'invisible' option pointless.

But I other than that I'd recommend asking the people who release Emerald.

Hahaha ok. Obviously you misunderstood that feature. Phantom means, that the bounding box of your avatar is seperated from the visual representation. That means, if some jerk wants to bump into you or pushes you around, your bounding box may move all over the sim, but your appearance stays in place. Simple idea is that he will get bored soon because pushing you around has obviously no effect. You should combine this feature with a move look so the bounding box will automatically return to its place and you suddenly won't find you somewhere around the sim when you disable phantom.
