There isn't any maintenence taking place at all. It's just an annoucement telling us when the maintenance postponed from 22nd May will take place. Which will be on Tuesday. But not on the day the announcement was made nor over the weekend. So don't worry - the Lindens aren't working that hard! Just to quote the grid status post, it says : "[Posted 7:15 AM PDT, 30 May 2014] The maintenance originally scheduled for 22 May at 7am has been rescheduled for Tuesday, 03 June beginning at 7am PDT. The Second Life Service will be closed for logins for approximately one hour." So you're not crashing because of ongoing maintenance!
DaftLyn
I bet this "scheduled" maintenance will take around 5 hours.

Drew Bhalti
They had to postpone it, something else crept up that knocked half of SL offline, now they have that fixed, they can do the other update they have planned. These things happen, it is the tech sector after all and SL is no where near being stable enough to make predictions or say it will work right. nature of the best with this kind of technology and programming.
