i have a traslator for local chat is there one for IM's??

Hi Missbehaves,

Scripts can't see what's typed in IM, so there are no direct translators available for IM chat. We're not supposed to give recommendations here (and I really haven't got one anyway) but you can search the marketplace for "translator" and you'll find a thing that claims to have an imperfect work-around.

Just to add to Madelaine's explanation, the work-round is that you type out the message you want translated (or copy-paste it if it's one you received) on a non-chat channel, and the translator then translates the message for you, using llOwnerSay (so only you can see the results).   If the translation is into the foreign language, you copy-paste that into the IM and send it.

It's not ideal, but it's a bit more convenient than switching between SL and Google translate, which is the other way of doing it.
