I'm new and it's my first time here. My account is about a week and some change old now, but I haven't exactly figured out how to approach anyone. I've mostly shopped this entire time. I've made some intitiative to go out and meet others, but when it comes down to it, something in my mind just makes me back out every time. I'm rather shy, especially around a large group, but this is just with initiating a first conversation with someone honestly. I'm not shy at all after that. It's just hard to get to know my surroundings without a basis point, and let's just say I'm not good at creating basis points all that well. 

I thought this would be the best place to, y'know, throw myself out there and see if anyone is interested. I'm not looking for specifics. Just someone who'll be themselves. I'm quite... strange, at least, I've been told that on numerous ocassions. I like to shop quite a lot(Even though keeping Lindens on me is a generally bad idea because I will spend it on clothing, yikes.) I like music. I listen to a little bit of everything. I'm not yet bold enough to actually go to a club or the like. 

I would like to get to know/speak to someone, whoever they, he, she, or Billy is. I'm on SL whenever I can be when there's nothing in real life that comes in conflict with me using the computer. (Eastern Standard Time if you're curious.)

So if you'd like to talk, send me a private message/IM/whatever it's called or I'll send you one. Whichever comes first.

Hello and welcome to SL

I might suggest that you join a few of the groups inworld. Find something that you enjoy doing...clubs, music, movies..even adult stuff...and there's probably a group that caters to it. Once you find it, join. You get 42 groups to be part of, so go for as many as you want. Once you're in there...send an group chat or IM the owner of the group. You'll be surprised as to how receptive people usually are.

Don't be shy...SL is a wonderous place. Get out there and experience it.

Don't be shy just go out and have fun and meet people, I've met some really nice folks. I know it can be somewhat intimidating at first but not everyone is snooty like I said there are some really nice folks.
