Why when i install the game, the "searching for internet" takes like forever. I waited 15 minutes?

Why when i install the game on the computer, there is required network part before installation. "searching for internet" takes like forever. I waited 15 minutes and nothing works. What can i do to make it work?

I have never seen any SL viewer say "searching for Internet".  You may have some other program in your computer is sending that.  It is quite possible, however, that you have a firewall or anti-virus program blocking access to Second life.  Take a look at these two URLs for information about whitelisting your SL viewer with those programs:

If you are on a college campus or at work, your local IT department may be blocking access or throttling bandwidth.  You ought to check with them, and review your campus or company policy about personal use of server resources.
