Is this United Breast Cancer Research Society? That's the only "Breast Cancer Research Society" I can find...

http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.profile&ein=274443716

Contributions and grants received in 2011: $262,528

Fundraising expenses in 2011: $236,275 <<< Big red flag.

ETA: 2012 wasn't much better:

Receipts: $490,235

Fundraising: $441,211

It's simple.  If youre really interested in finding out more about our charitable contributions to fight Breast Cancer, stop by the club.  And... Yes!  We will be able to verify our charitable contributions if you have any doubt.

Well. i went to your club.. not a single sign or kiosk about donations, just one saying that you did donate.. Not to who, but that you did. Usually there is a donation kiosk or a big sign about the charity..I was expecting to see a big "We donate 5% of all tips to .... click here for more info" sign.. Nada, nothing, zippo, nein.

I also could find only the United Breast Cancer Research Society, which has so many bad reports on it as someone who has several survivors, and one who didn't, in my family, I wouldn't give them a plug nickle.

I did see one sign that caught my eye.."Emote quality is equal to the price you tip." That blows my mind. If you want my money, each and every emote should be mind blowingly good. Whether it's $1000L or $500L or even $50L. I worked in one of the busiest women only clubs. We put out top line emotes for each and every tip. Even if they were $20L. Why, because at some point the owners knew, their clients would have money. And if they had a good time spending what little they had, when they had little, they would spend more when they had more.

Hey guys :)

Hopefully I can clear things up, since I was the one who set all of this up for the club.

Before we had started the club, I contacted the American Cancer Society's SL representitive and asked if we could do this, which they said was allowed, but because we weren't using an approved kiosk (Which I assume they reserve for official events) we weren't allowed to publicize that we were donating to them directly, because they can't vouch for the legitimacy of the fundraising in the club. We were told that we had to use something generic to let people know that we were donating to Breast Cancer research. Which we did.

In our tipjars, we have the script set to take 10% of every tip, 5% goes to the owner of the club for club upkeep, and 5% goes to our Donation Avatar, SugarWallsGentleman'sClub Resident.

Every month (It has only been a couple weeks since the club has been opened) I will get on the donation avatar and send over the L's to the ACS's donation avatar, and post screen shots of the transaction on the club's blog: http://sugarwallssl.blogspot.com/

I just want to make sure that everyone knows that we are legit, and being absolutely transparent about all of this, because it is for a cause that's near and dear to my heart. I don't want to make anyone feel that we are lying and being shady about any of this, because that's simply not true.

You all are more than welcome to pop by the club if you have any questions, and sorry for the confusion :)

I apologize for the "Mind blowing-ness" of they way we run our club, but I don't expect anyone to go all out for a 2L tip. We are thankful for every single tip we receive, and we always say thank you no matter how much is tipped, but you wont find any club in SL that has their dancers emoting like there's no tomorrow for a 10L tip.
