Question

I have reported objects so far but never been in a situation where I found the need to report a group. So how could I do that as a basic account and do you think it would ring some bells at LL or would it not be seen as a violation?

Well, not sure if I can name the group here...I found them in a residents profile. They see themselves as a group where people can meet who enjoy fantasies about little girls (in the context its pretty obvious to me that its about sexual contact) and also little girls who enjoy that (haha...what a punch in the face of abused children..). The group picture is a real life picture which shows an adult touching a girls private parts.

I see this as pretty disgusting....but yet I'm not sure if I need actual evidence that the member participate in agepaly within SL (I guess they probably do...but you know LL can be strange). If its reportable, I'll hope to get more people togther to file reports about this too.

From your description, the possession and publication of the group picture is a serious criminal offence in many jurisdictions -- certainly the UK and I would think the USA, too.

The question arises in my mind whether it wouldn't be more appropriate to forward the details to whichever agency in your jurisdiction deals with online child pornography, and let them and the FBI sort it out with LL -- who might well be required by the courts to reveal the RL names and addresses of the group's members for prosecution in their home jurisdictions for publishing indecent images of children, and for whatever other offences are brought to light by the inevitable forensic analysis of their computer equipment.
