With only that vague description it's very hard to tell. It would help if we at least knew what kind of computer you have, what operating system it's using, what graphics card it has, and how you are connected to the Internet. The best way to tell us all of that and even moreuseful information is to click on Help >> About Second Life at the top of your screen when you are in world and then copy/paste al of that information into an edit of your post here. Just click on the Options link in the upper right corner of your question and select EDIT. Please do NOT start a new thread.
