VR technology and Secondlife

I just read an article about VR (virtual reality) technology and how it finally might become affordable.

Wouldn't this be awesome, actually have the feeling you are IN Secondlife?

Just wonder if there are any viewers really capable of working with this and if Linden is paying attention to the developements going on right now.

Hello, just a few days ago someone pointed exactly this device.

Would be amazing to see how it works, but like for all this goggles some of the SL animations would end in strangulation with the wires :matte-motes-wink:

There is a Lindeon blog about hand-interaction with SL. Control, move the Avatar with gestures.

Love all that gimmicks and waiting for some of the to real come to life and work, even so i could not afford one off :matte-motes-frown:

The Oculus Rift's resolution is only 1280x800. Of course SL can run at that resolution, but at goggle-depth those pixels will be few and far-between. Probably enough for vertigo; not so sure about immersion.

I have once gotten google cardboard to work with it.  I used the CtrlAltViewer and TrinusVR but took so long setting up I never used it more than once but it is possible
