so they seems to be an issue with windows 8 why cant linden labs update the viewers to cope with the this or make a new viewer

What problem are you having running SL in Windows 8?  I've not tried it yet, but, having read several of the many posts about it,  I think most people seem to be able to get SL running OK on it if they update all their drivers after installing Windows 8 (or doing the upgrade).

I'm using the LL SecondLife viewer under Windows 8 Professional without any issues whatsoever. Please be sure to so the following with your PC:

1) Run the Windows 8 Update manually several times until all the current patches are applied. My installation of Windows 8 required that I run this 6 times to be completely caught up.

2) Install the latest Windows 8 certified drivers for your Video Graphics Card.

Can you also give us specific error messages you are receiving when trying to start the SL viewer?

Most people choose an operating system based on the software they want to use, not the other way around.  You might consider that strategy.

I am facing issue with my dell win 8 lattitude laptop. I get logged out every few mins. I tried SL viewer , Firestrom and situation is the same.

 

Pl help
