Missing Sims?

I have been noticing recently when I look at the map that there are sims missing from right down the middle of the old main continent? Is this true or just a glitch, and if it is true, what on earth happened?

LL is doing some rolling restarts today so perhaps that accounts for it.  They may be offline for that reason, or there may be a problem.  If you know that name of one of the sims you can report it and note they all are missing

That's a glitch with the map that turns up from time to time. Those regions are still there, but the map server hasn't updated the "tiles" (thumbnail pictures of the region) for some reason so they're not available. When this happens the "missing" regions form stripes like you're seeing.

The sims on one side of mine appear and disappear regularly although the names are on the map, the tiles are not.

i went there personally and checked it out and you guys were right, it is just the map that is messed up, still strange though.
