Animation No Longer Works!? Now This One Too!?
Josef Balbozar replied to LibertinaValkyria's topic in Animation Forum
My poses and animations also stop working after a short while. That includes dance AO and individual poses - also the Firestorm Pose Stand. The problem started a couple of weeks ago, doen't matter which outfit or avatar or viewer I use. Seems like a griefing attack or is it just SL ? -
Yes really ... as operated from my Nexus7 ... nice to know it is possible to stay in touch .... using the Firestorm viewer for this one ;-) http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Little%20Ambergris%20Cay/132/138/3559

http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Little%20Ambergris%20Cay/130/132/3559 Dear friends I too am very sad to write that Little Ambergris Cay will close in a couple of days. A couple of years ago when I ran a similar project in-world, my five galleries were booked months in advance by well-known residents of our world. I was made redundant rl and so had to cut back for a while. But, these days although I'm back - sadly, it is difficult to find four exhibitors who'd like to use the facilities free of charge or obligation for one month at a time in rotation ! Reluctantly - I've decided to close Little Ambergris Cay and the build will start to disappear 23/01/2013. Apologies for any inconvenience caused to the couple of photographers who accepted an invitation to exhibit and to the many daily visitors who encounter a spectacular build and empty galleries. That's it Folks. Regards Josef Balbozar

Josef Balbozar replied to stuartyboyuk Sheriffe's topic in General Discussion
Hello stuartyboyuk, If you have a Premium Account the a call via live chat ought to do the trick for you ... always very helpful and prompt in my experience and they could at least point you in the right direction. Hope this helps in some way ;-) -

Sexism Survey in Second Life
Josef Balbozar replied to maxgertler1's topic in General Discussion Forum
Hello maxgertler1, 1. Male 2. No. As avatars we create our own world. 3. Not at all - one can simply change character at any time. 4. Probably much the same. We are all humans in communities. -
Hello Theresa, The sims on one side of mine appear and disappear regularly although the names are on the map, the tiles are not.
-
Hello everyone, I discovered this amazing sim in my search for a headless Marie Antionette avatar and would like to share it. Worth the time to explore and even to make that impulse purchase : http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Boudoir/157/106/21

So often snaps of our world seem to fall into one of three categories, the merchandise for sale, the avatar and the destination. It would be interesting to see all three of these snaps of people actually doing things ... Here is my own humble example : http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Gay%20City%20Cologne/72/51/31

My posts were made by a real person ... and any action taken by some people would be real as well. This is a very emotive issue of general interest.

Good point. It might be an idea to make a template of the parcel you have in mind so as to see if the new house will fit shape wise. My place is a rambling affair and covers what would be a couple of city blocks RL

Hello Amethyst and Hermione, Amethyst, your latest post underscores the real need felt by some people to know about these things in advance of making adjustments.

destionation guide failure
Josef Balbozar replied to stuartyboyuk Sheriffe's topic in General Discussion
Hi everyone, This comment is purely anecdotal - when the location of my hangout changed because more space was needed - the Destination Guide changed automatically. -
Hello Hermione, If you rent the homestead from an estate you might want to ask the owner to make a back-up for you prior to altering or adjusting anything in case of glitches. Some people find out about this too late and so lose everything including their rent if paid in advance. Regards
-
Hello Candy, Thank-you mfor the response. When dealing with computers it is so important to be able to make copies and back-ups. So actually the 'full estate rights' referred to in your advertisement are not actually 'full estate rights' ? What happens if the back-up can no longer be accessed because the file is stored on a computer which is inaccessible ? It would have been interesting to read more about this in your publicity material. Some people would say that more transparency would assist prospective tenants. Regards

Hi Candy, Impressive advertising. Do full rights include the ability to make and keep a back up one's terrain ?

Second Life Pic of the Day 12/11/2012

Like the 'fangs' :matte-motes-sunglasses-1: -
In answer to you first question. It would be interesting to read more about a definition for 'successful' however, taking that into account, the response would have to be 'no'. Some would say that one of the reasons for this is that it is almost impossible to reach a target market in a marketing environment where there are no means of mass communication. For many security concerns and costs are primary obstacles. Your second question touches on an important point alluded to above - one answer would be identifiable and measurable mass appeal which translates into measurable financial benefit for the brand owner. Answer three :I have visited the sites of a couple of RL motor manufacturers. To question four : In a word, disappointing. Many of the creative elements available in virtual worlds were missing and so the sites lacked appeal for some virtual tourists. 5. Definitely not. Hopefully these responses would be of some use to your research.

how do i remove an animation script from my avitar?
Josef Balbozar replied to kc0664's question in Avatar
Hi kc0664, In Firestorm Go to Avatar Health ... Stop Animations. If you use an AO you'll need to re-activate it.
