How do I discontinue my sl account? Please help

Navigate to your dashboard at secondlife.com and look at Account >>> Cancel Account.

Or, if you have taken care of any recurring expenses like land fees and group liabilities, just walk away.  It doesn't cost you anything to keep a Basic account alive.  When you change your mind and decide to come back to SL, your inventory and your av will still be here, waiting for you.
