I want to send all my sl friends a notification of my latest blog post.  How do I do that?  Thanks.

Be very careful when notifying friends of anything; some may see it as being spammed.

You might be wise to just put a link to your blog on your profile 'about' section, where friends are most likely to see it, if they are interested enough.

Of course, in conversation with friends you can just bring up the subject of blogs. Maybe your friends also have blogs they would like to share with you.

Maybe you have a group that your friends are in. You could easily then send out a group notice to all the group members, so they would see you have a blog also.

There's no way to just send a message to all your friends at once.  You have to send it one friend at a time.  One of my blogging friends does it by sending out a notecard with the link to the latest entry in it.  That way you don't have to write anything over and over, just drop the notecard on each friend.

Make a notecard > right click the notecard > choose share > click the first person on your friends list in the new box that opens that says Choose Resident > holding shift, click the last name at the bottom of your list (all names should now be chosen) > click Select. You will be asked if you really want to share with all these people, click OK to share.

You could get a gadget that will will send messages (and items, if you wish) to whomever you add to a simple notecard (example).

However, I agree with Echo that you might want to be careful about spamming people. Your friends list could have a tendency to shrink that way.
