Need help with skins

So i have bought 4 free skins from the marketplace and when i equip them they see to make a box around my avatar that just has a pic of the skin on it!  I go into my received items and double click on the skin but it just does that. I need to know if im doing something wrong or its just a broken skin

I think what you need to do is move the box from your inventory on to the ground in a place that lets you unpack things (like a sandbox). Once it's out, right click and select OPEN. Another box should show up with the contents. Choose MOVE TO INVENTORY and the items will be in there. Then you can right click back on the box and either take it or delete it.

The answer is probably in Dillon's link but I confess to not having read that page before, so, just in case. Find a sandbox by typing the word sandbox, in search, places.

I recommend trying one at the bottom or near the bottom of the list. It will be less chaotic and busy there, probably. 

I also recommend sitting in a chair when you get there so no one can (literally) push your avatar around.
