Do you know if you are wearing multiple alpha layers?

Are you adding the items, or wearing them?

Do you recall the last time you Updated your SL Viewer?

Are you using a Mac?

That's odd. It sounds like you need a new alpha mask.  Contact the merchant that you got that one from and ask for a replacement.
