AnnaL Shepherd
Hi Guys, probally a thumb Question. But is there any chance of bringing a full perm sculptmap on a nano prim, so to make from a normal prim dimension jewellery? I think its not possible, but I wanted to ask.Anna
Amethyst Jetaime
Yes, but you need a sculpt map that is specifically for making a nano. Regular maps won't work. If you are buying sculpt maps for jewelry generally they are nano, but it pays to double check. Some of the sets i've bought have both normal and nano maps. Kwakkelde Kwak
If by nano prim you mean the ones that are cut, dimpled and twisted to make them appear smaller, no it's not possible. You can do something else though, if you insist on using sculpts instead of the much more versatile mesh. The sculpts use a 256x256x256 grid for the place of the vertices. This means you can make a sculpt twice as small by building nothing in the 0-64 region and in the 192-256 region. Most sculpt exporters scale automatically though, so then you need to build your sculpt the way you like it and edit the map afterwards. That can be done in photoshop or gimp. You can shrink along one axis even, but to shrink as a whole: The mystery of “nano” sculpted prims explained Take in mind twice as small means half the detail you can obtain, since instead of being on a 256x256x256 grid, your sculpt is now limited to 128x128x128. AnnaL Shepherd
Ok, thank you so far, this is what I thought. I cant sculpt or mesh, never have tryed it so therefore I buy sculptmaps. I have to talk then to the creator if he is willing to do his work again. Anna
Kwakkelde Kwak
If you own the sculptmaps and they are full perm, you can download them, do as described, then upload again. If you don't have gimp or photoshop or anything like that, you should ask the creator.
