Why am I a CLOUD?

There are so many reasons you might be a cloud.  Have you searched the Answers Forum to find how to resolve it?  It is a very common question with some very easy solutions.

Try taking an avatar folder from Library > Clothing and drag/drop it onto your avatar.  Once you have rezzed, you can put your normal stuff  back on.  That is just one of the many ways to solve the cloud issue.

I can't drop anything on my avatar. I've tried that.

And nothing shows as worn in my inventory, which is definitely wrong.

It's also not viewer specific. I updated Imprudence, but that just turned me from a white cloud to a purple cloud.

Has your inventory fully loaded? If not, you need to go somewhere to let it load all the way before you try anything.  Hatton sim is one such place.  Do not do anything else (IMs, browser open) while your inventory loads.

Press CTRL+ALT+R a few times and you'll be fine.

i tried ctrl-alt-r but it still hasnt worked what else is wrong i am stil a cloud

I tried almost everything and nothing worked, but dragging the clothing onto my avi did the trick!
