Have you tried reversing your normals?

Inside Blender most things are double sided, meaning you can see a face from either side. In SL the viewer only renders the front side of the face.

You can see this in SL if you make a big cube, set it to phantom, then move your camera inside the cube.

You should also be able to see the inside of the cube on the posted picture if it was simply reversed normals, unless the textures do show when you rotate the camera around the object.

Does this happen with any texture or just some particular one(s)? I can imagine the UV maps are not using the entire surface of the texture, so if the texture has an alpha channel this could be the result.
