what is wrong with links in the mp?

i clicked on a link to read about a product on the marketplace. it brought me back to the home page of the mp? is this just me or does this just happen?

1. It does happen. Some links are indeed broken.

2. It is often fixed by using Firefox or Chrome instead of IE if it is not due to a broken link.

Emmett, it could be for the reasons the other posters have offered.

It could also be a bug that was activated by the implementation of Direct Delivery (apparantly it existed before DD, but went out of control when DD was implemented). Basically, store listings are being scrambled. Very often, if you try to click on one of the scrambled listings, it takes you to the MP homepage because the actual product was very old and not active but mixed up with an active one.  Be very careful when shopping on the MP these days - make sure the picture, the name of the product and the creator all sync up because if you hit upon one of the ones that does not default to the homepage, you could wind up buying one thing and receiving something different (through absolutely no fault of the Merchant).
