Triblurr
Hi,Fairly new to second life, but I was wondering if somebody can direct me to a tutorial on exporting the avatar mesh for use in Maya. I'm interested in building some hair styles for use in second life using Maya and I'd like to at least have the avatar head to work as a base.Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.Thanks. Braydon Randt
Hi There Triblurr I bleieve the ones you want can be found on Ashas you tube page , allthough she does specify blender , the extracting of the AV Obj meshes are the same, and can be imported into maya without too much hasstle most likely. Good luck Bray
Coby Foden
You can get the fully rigged default female and default male avatar shapes in various file formats also from here:https://jira.secondlife.com/secure/attachment/59951/Default+Male+%26+Female+Rigged+Avatars.zip If you want to export your specific own avatar shape you can do it in Phoenix viewer version 1.5.2.1185 (in newer ones it is not possible).
