Mesh vehicle playing-Monster Mash..

I was curious about the limits of build height, movement and size with mesh vehicle and of course had to test it out as an extreme experiment. Monster Mesh

What I did was  throw together some of my meshes that I considered failures, duplicated and linked them all together to the tune of 246 prims. I turned everything Physics Shape none except the root mesh/prim (one of the seats) and two of the legs-those three things became became my high count physical convex hulls. Then I threw in one of my modified land vehicle scripts (car)which was a physics script, with it's limits of 32.

You can see from the picture how huge my little monster was.

This huge ugly thing moves, and hops just like any of my normal builds, regardless of size, construction etc.ec.  Everything but the legs and one saddle, of course you can walk through as none physics shape is phantom!

just something to share that I did for my own amusement and explorations. I had even more fun having a two friends sit on it and we all moved/hopped around on it. I  didn't get enough people to make a wild test to see how many avatars I could have sit on it before we stopped moving.

Congrats on discovering America!

Avatars dont count as prims for yrs now and you can sit on vehicle as manny ppl you want/have seats,it wont change physics waight of it!

Size of vehicle doesnt matter eather if you made all but root  prim physics type none.

Prim physiscs feature doesnt apply only on mesh,you can use it on prim/sculpt vehicles to.

Anny physical vehicle script can be used,car,bike,plane,boat,doesnt matter,if you make ewerything but wheels/colison prims) and root prim physics type none if you can link it you can drive it!

Nothing new,tons of ppl been doing it for months

Thank you for expanding on that Min.

Your reply is covers many  of the basic questions I have been asked by others and have given them those same answers for dealing with mesh and/or vehicles.

There are many people who have never done  3D modeling-or just have the raw basics of how to put prims together, and second life is their way of learning. "Mesh" is very new to them, as they build their first mesh moving vehicles. 

Funny what we take for granted about knowing isn't it? That's why these forums are so valuable, they help people in written words and visually  to learn answers to questions they have.
