You may have one of more DNS Hijacking Trojan Horses on your PC.

Use the following utilities to scan for and correct this issue:

ADWCleaner from BleepingComputer.com

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/dl/125/

SuperAntiSpyware

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/superantispyware/dl/106/

afterwards run the WISE Registry Cleaner 1) Cleaning scanner then 2) The PC Optimization

http://www.wisecleaner.com/soft/WRCFree.exe

The above links are all active downloads so don't press any Ad-based Download offers on these pages. This should do it for ya if this is the issue.

If Karen's excellent advice doesn't work, here are another couple of possible things to try.

First, the simple one, since you have already tried the Google DNS servers.... See here for alternate servers, or grab DNS Bench to help you locate one.

And then an obscure one ... Certain proxy redirectors external to the viewer can cause “DNS Could Not Resolve the Host Name” failure at login.  ProxyCap proxy redirector is known to cause this.
