The Cashier will not let me purchase Lindens, when I try to purchase, error message comes up

when I try to purchase, and click my credit card for payment. error message comes up. have tried 3 days in a row, and no lindens. Tried inworld and MP.

It's usually wise to buy L$ directly from the LindeX, through your dashboard at secondlife.com, instead of buying through either Marketplace or your viewer. Try that and see if it helps.  If not, take a good look at the full list of common problems with credit cards at http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Billing/ta-p/700037#Section_.7.2

Note also that Linden Lab does not accept most prepaid cards and has problems with many Debit cards.
