a label that hoovers over a prim

I often see "hoovering labels"  such as "touch for landmark" or "touch for notecard" I'd like to find the software on SL marketplace that makes these labels but i don't know what keywords to use.

This is not really a scripting question - actually: it's no scripting question at all, but there are several terms like "hovering text" (the most frequently used one), "floating text", "text over a prim" - these should be the ones most often used. By technical terms it's just text - or the text property of a prim.

Ahhhh - and you don't really have to search for scripts that do that - just look at the wiki page for llSetText - there are examples there. You may like this one.

I found one called Float Text Script  by dreamwalker, It works great if you are happy with white,it does different colors, but you need to put it into numeric codes

You're looking for the "hovering text" script.

It's the most common script inWorld and many item boxes came with this in it.

If you don't know where to find it, IM me inWorld to give you a version of it.

if you find color vectors to be confusing but know how to get web color codes, then this will help you convert them
