Question

I can't imagine that it's not a known issue but in the byzantine structure of Second Life Help, I can't find anything relating to this. I'm using a new MacBook Pro running 10.11.3. I downloaded the latest official SL Viewer. Each time I press a modifier key, an exception is raised. I can continue but can't use any modifier key (like Command or Option).

What's going on?

It's a nasty Mac specific bug on CEF enabled viewers.

It doesn't affect all Mac systems but for those it does affect there doesn't appear to be a workaround yet apart from to use an older viewer that hasn't updated with CEF.

Details:

LL JIRA: BUG-11592 - Internal Error: Uncaught Exception is raised whenever these keys are pressed/released: _shift_, _command_, _option_, _control_, or _caps lock_. Can continue but exception is raised continually with these keys. Other keys appear to be fine.

Firestorm JIRA: FIRE-18016
