After trying many things, I tried exporting to the desktop, and it imported into the viewer straight away! no problems.

The problem seems to come from exporting to a directory that is not on the same Hard Drive as second life is installed to.

Moving the file to anywhere on the same HD fixed the problem for me.

Might help you, or at least it's something to try if you get this error.

Joe
