ChastityAngelheart Posted October 18, 2016 Share Posted October 18, 2016 Hi, I just wondered if anyone has any suggestions that may help. I've always used Pheonix Firestorm viewer (on a windows laptop) but I am currently unable to launch it. I get to the point where it says Initialising VFS but then gets no further no matter how long I leave it. I've tried deleting the viewer from my computer and have re-installed it fresh but still the same problem. Any suggestions? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I've cleared history, cache and cookies etc. Deleted the viewer from my computer before reinstalling it but still the same, it just doesn't get any further than 'Initializing VFS'. Whirly Fizzle Posted October 19, 2016 Share Posted October 19, 2016 The viewer getting stuck on initializing VFS can sometimes be fixed with a manual cache clear, however if it's a cache issue it's unlikely to affect 2 different viewers an you said you had already tried a cache purge. So the problem is most likely to be a graphics driver issue or the hardware check the viewer performs at launch is going wrong for some reason. Viewer logs & system information should hopefully show where the problem is. Seeing as you usually use Firestorm, best thing to do is to file a Firestorm JIRA issue and attach your viewer log files If you prefer, you can upload a zip of your logs folder onto dropbox or google drive or similar & post the link here. didiming Posted October 19, 2016 Share Posted October 19, 2016 Have exactly the same poblem since today! Have delete firestorm, install Sl standard viewer, same problem. Cant start Second Live at all, stuck into start VFS-System. Have no idee what the mistake is! Dxdiag of the system: How can i send an DxDiag report of my system? Have install alchemy viewer, same problem, stuck into start the VFS-System.
