  1. "the anti-spam facility for this forum software activates when the site is under attack from a bot spammer. If you post during an attack then you get caught up in the anti-spam detector automagically

when that happens then you (your IP address) gets re-directed by the anti-spam software to the actual LL login page. this happens often bc of all the attacks on here"

I just tested this, during a spam attack.  Lets see what happens.

ETA: Absolutely nothing happens.  No redirection, no signing in again.  It just simply posted.  If this software has such an anti-spam tactic, it is severely broken.

What are you smoking?  If this software had any real type of spam protection, we would not even know about it.  All they do is wait for the spam to fill the forums, and then delete them manually afterwards.  There is no "anti-spam redirection" going on.

Do I also need to go get a Computer degree to understand any of what you just said?  Surely a company that wants business and customers will make an update that you don't have to take apart your computer to fix and will work on a MAC.  Imagine if you didn't speak English and tried to understand what you just said.  This doesn't sound like a computer problem to me, it sounds like a programming problem.  Did they let the intern do the update again?

If you did not understand that, you need a much more basic education to start with, and good dose of common sense to go with it.

There are well over 37,000 users posting here about adult past time in Dubai alone, and frequently too.

    LOL, touche'

since more SL residents read here before they tweet.

I think people way overestimate the number of SL users who frequent the forums.  SL twitter has over 37,000 followers.  I don't know how many total users the forums have, but I don't believe it is anywhere close to that.  Not to say they shouldn't give us the courtesy of reporting here, it is their forum after all, but not for the reason of reaching the numbers.

The landlord repossessed the land knowing I had no copy items on there, knowing that they would most likely disappear into the ether.

They did not email me about the repossession, I don't log in regularly, perhaps once a week, a simple reminder that rent would expire on such and such a date would have done.

I see.  While a reminder would have been generous, the landlord was under no obligation to do so.  It is your obligation to pay rent as you agreed when you acquired the property.  Your failure to do so put the landlord in this position.  I am assuming that he did not foreclose the minute after the rent expired.  How many hours/days did the property remain unusable because you left your items on his land rendering it unrentable?  The landlord did what any landlord in SL would do, return the items, and attempt to gain another tennant, because they have a landlord to whom they are obligated, namely Linden Lab.  Nothing unscrupulous about that.

Feel free to find Lindendollar in Forex.

Could you buy DIRECTLY a House, Car or whatever you like with Bitcoin? Yes you can.

Could you do this with Lindendollar? No, you cant.

That is wonderful.  Perhaps you are confused about what Linden dollars are.  It is strictly a currency for in-world transactions in Second Life.  It was never intended to be a real currency.  In fact, Linden Lab strictly restricts its use to Second Life, and they do not even define it as a currency.  They define it as such:

"Linden Research, Inc. (“Linden Lab”) operates a virtual world platform known as Second Life (“Second Life”), and makes available for use in Second Life a virtual token or virtual “currency” element (referred to as “Linden Dollars”) intended solely for use to access virtual objects in Second Life, and affiliated websites operated by Linden Lab including, but not limited to, https://marketplace.secondlife.com.

Why are you even trying to compare it to any other type of currency?  I don't believe anyone even stated it was "a reliable currency."  It is only valuable as long as Second Life exists.  I get you like Bitcoins and believe in them, but I don't understand your apparent crusade to thrust them upon Second Life and the users of this forum.  Perhaps it would be prudent for you to go evangelize somewhere that you would be appreciated.  It does not appear this forum fits the bill.

That an artist could paint a nude child from their imagination is just as disturbing as the rest of this thread.

And again, you still have not answered the question, "Why is it wrong, or as you stated in this post, "disturbing?"

It saddens me, although it does not surprise me, that an answer has to be stated to the question, "Why is it wrong or disturbing to view or depict naked children." (Other than as medical aids or fields of that nature).

Just to clarify, I stated that for medical aids is one reason, I did not say it was the only reason.  I grew up in a time when culture dictated that the picture of a naked child in a family photo album was appreciated for the innocence depicted by a child unashamed of their natural state.  They were born that way after all.  When I first saw your post about "child porn," in response to the classic beauty I took in, my first thought was "what kind of depraved mind would see any of that content as sexual?"  It never occurred to me to see it that way.  Perhaps this says more about you than you care to admit.

Sorry I know this is unrelated.. but I just signed and cant figure out wtf to do please help. I cant get to my house or do anything

You need to explain more clearly what exactly you are trying to do.  What did you just sign up for? Have you downloaded an SL client and logged in?  Did you sign up for Premium and choose a Linden Home?  Too many unknowns to help you.
