I think that it would be fair to assume that you will be spending 15.000-25.000 on a full mesh avatar, plus a wardrobe and attachments 🙂

    Agreed.

Although I will put out there that Black Friday and Xmas sales will be coming up and although it's not guaranteed, I would wait and see if the bigger mesh stores join in and have discounts on their mesh body parts.

I think the only time likes mean anything on Flickr is if you're a blogger.  When you apply to blog for a specific brand, they want to see how many followers you have, how many likes on all your media platforms.  It's the stores that want the most exposure so if you do have hundreds of likes, they know people are looking at your Flickr and/or blog.

    ^^^ EXACTLY THIS!!!! ^^^

I have been a blogger for 11 years and have so-so follows and likes on Flickr because I don't play the Flickr games.  I don't like millions of pictures to get likes back.  I don't add my pictures to every group under the sun to get more likes.  I play by the rules...and just don't apply for or get rejected by stores asking for bazillions of followers and likes.

In the end, I am happy just doing my own thing and am thankful to still have some people who appreciate what I do.

Flickr, which I use for 99.9999% SL things (if you look closely you can find RL things on the stream), is nothing BUT a peeve.

I find it annoying that people STILL put their pictures in EVERY group they can, whether it applies to the group or not.

    Example...
Group - Female Face Close Up
Some pictures in the group include - full length body shots, a dude slapping some bimbo on a St Andrew's Cross, some chick's huge bazongas and another's huge badonkadonk.

I thought limiting the groups you could put your pics in would stop that, but the "opt out" negated that idea.  People still seem to find a way to put their pics in hundreds of groups.

Howdy strangers! Haven't posted on here in a while...I hope everyone is keeping safe and well ❤️ can I have your opinions please? :D Which hair colour looks best on me? TIA!!

Definitely anything on the top row.  Your skin tone does not pull off the lighter hair shades.

Well, that's the thing. It's annoying to see the same pic in two or three threads -- I get that. But it takes me literally seconds to scroll past 'em.

I really have never understood why people get so aggravated about fluff on the pic threads. They're . . . pics. They're cotton candy. I like them, but my quality of life is really not much endangered by someone posting a comment, or double posting.

/me goes back to sipping her tea and waiting for purchased items to magically appear in her inventory

The topic is "pet peeves".  It doesn't "aggravate" me, it "peeves" me.  The most annoying person who does it now resides on my blocked list, so her pictures do not bother me anymore.

  6. I have been beating my inventory into submission in an effort to get my item numbers down!

The victim yesterday and today was my Poses folder.  I would go to each subfolder (poses were sorted by store), work my way through it checking if I had put the individual poses into the corresponding pose stand and looking at the couple's poses and seeing if keeping them in my inventory was worth it or if I should pack them away.

So after rezzing multitudes of boxes, I would box them all individually, then into a box for each store and then into one big POSES box.  Then I could happily delete them all.  Down 10,000 items.

Still have three or four of my bigger store folders to go through, but got bored, so bounced into my hair folders instead and carnage happened!  I just deleted these as I was finding FLEXI from 2010!!!!  Another 4,000 items down.

It's the small pleasures in SLife that make me happy!

Pictures on the angle!  I don't know why people started doing this but it's annoying.

YES!  I agree!  I think it is because it fits the whole avatar into the picture when you zoom in closer than the standard up and down angle.  That is why I do mid-thigh and up pictures.  And cos I suck at full length lol.

    I hate hand sanitizers

AGREED!  I have an incredibly sensitive sense of smell and the overly flowery or sickly citrus scents were KILLING me until I FINALLY found a scent free sanitising spray!  It's made my life so much more pleasant as I no longer smell like a super flowery fruit salad!!!.

Now if only they would close the damn borders again and stop letting infected people into the country!  I don't think I could handle a third lockdown!!!

I agree. It drives my OCD nuts so I try to keep my focus to one thread now.

When I first started looking at those threads and sharing my own photos, there was a bit of confusion because the topics are very similar. I double posted once because I hadn't realized I posted to one already. 🙄

Since then, I make a point to keep my focus on one because I felt so silly after doing that even by accident.

I have to agree.  I really struggle to see the difference between the two threads.  I tend to stick to the "today" thread and don't bother with the other one at all since the majority of pictures there are double postings.

Stores that don't add things from events in a timely fashion. Not that I'm pounding on the doors the day after an event closes. A reasonable, timely fashion!  You don't want my money? grumbles

Well in their defense, some events have the rule that items from rounds have to wait a month or two BEFORE they can be sold in the stores.
