  1. I'm reliatively new to rigging in Blender a now learning all the tricks yet. Could you, please, clarify how should I transfer the weights?
  2. Hello, I'm getting a problem while trying to rig a piece of clothing. The garment was made in Marvelous Designer 5. Then it was transferred to Blender 2.79. Then I tried to rig it using Avastar 1.7.4. After the Bind to Armature process finished, the sleeves fell down. However, when I try to move the arms the sleeves follow the movements. They just lost the position in relationship to the bone. Here is the snapshot of the process. Can you tell me what shall I do to correct the problem and prevent the sleeves from loosing their position. Thank you.
  3. We took off the AO. Didn't worked. Then we stopped avatar animation. Same result. Even cleared the cache. Nothing helps.
  4. Hello, i hope this is the right forum. My partner discovered today very unusual behavior of her avatar. While the avatar is standing still it goes into a crouch pose something like she is trying to fix her footwear. As soon as she starts moving, the walk looks like she is marching or even like an animal walk. We tried to kill all animations even did the total avatar reset to starting conditions. Nothing is helping. My partner is using Firestorm to run Second Life. Her OS Windows 7. My partner is not a premium member therefore I took the liberty to post that topic in behalf of her. Thank you in advance.

  8. Hello, I have created a pitcher in Blender 2.77a. I used mesh cylinder to for the shape. Then I rendered using cycles. While tried to upload the Collada file i received the following error message. Can someone explain to me what I did wrong and how to correct that problem. And where is the log located anyway. Thank you. 
  9. Well, I created a little structure in Archimesh 8 wall segments. First thing was that it needed to be converted to mesh. Went to Test Grid and it uploaded. The PE was only 4. But there is a little situtaion. the windows and doors. Archimesh cuts the walls to let the window be a window. As soon as you remove the window the opening is gone. I tried to use boolean modified, but got a weird message. My feeling that the addon is only for Blender animations.
  10. Hello all, Is anyone using Archimesh addon for Blender? I just dicovered it, and have installed. Now, i"m curious how effective it in creating mesh buildings. However it has some limitations, like it can't make angular walls, but other than that, it neat and easy to use. Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving to all Americans.
  11. Hello, Can anyone tell me which full perm house control system i could use for my builds? I am looking for a system that could handle window tint of a mesh window. My window is one prim with different faces defined for the glass inside and outside. There are few systems on the Marketplace, but none of them has a clear description telling that it will work in my situation. Thank you.
  12. Well, I found the problem. One of my materials names contins foreign characters. That was preventing a norrmal export of the mesh. I renamed that material and everything is normal now. Thanks for your help.
  13. Hello, I'm having problem importing a mesh file created in Blender 2.72. The object is a part of mesh building I work on. I uploaded other objects of the same building without any problem, but when I tried this object, I got the following message. Can anybody tell me why I get that message and what can be corrected to get my object upoaded? Thank you.

    SL vs. IW

    Hello, Here is a curious situation. I've created some mesh in Blender, went to test grid and uploaded it. My land impact was 41. After that. I exported same mesh using OS settings, went to IW and my object's land impact was only 9. Now I am wondering why that in Second Life the land impact number is bigger than in InWorldz? Can someone explain me the situation?
  15. Thank you all for your help. You are great. Gaia you were absolutely correct. I reduced the number of textures to eight. This made the big difference. Now everything looks normal. I wish to have more faces though:(. But I think the only way to overcome that problem is to separate the structure. I may make the foundation as a single prim. Again, everyone was great. Thank you all.
  16. Well, I tried all those manipulations with normals, but it had no effect. I missed to mention, that I use different material for each element in the building since i trying to make every room in different color. Would thaat be a problem? It displays the whole thing correctly in Blender. Only when i load it to test grid, it gets corrupted.
  17. I think that you're right about the SL misinterpreting my materials. I tried to flip my normals, but it had no effect. I will try to change my textures to see if it will help.
  18. Hello, I am having a weird problem which I can't figure out. I am attaching two pictures of the same building one before the materials were applied and one after. Looks like that the materials made my normals to flip. I tried to flip direction but it didn't heped. This affected some of the faces but not all of them. Can anyone tell me what did I do wrong? I am using Blender 2.66a Picture before the materials applied.. Picture after materials applied.
  19. I did all of the steps you have mentioned in your message. Except on the railing I didn't followed the shape on angle. Would this make any difference? Here is my picture showing the metadata. It's not blue:( as you can see it.

  22. Hello, I am trying to make a house base with the stairs attached in Blender, as you see on the snapshot. After I uploaded it to SL I discovered that I can't walk on the stairs up. I applied physics to the mesh and set it to prim. The physics is a separate prim with simplified shape it has a ramp in place of steps. But when I start to walk, the mesh prim acts as a phantom object. Instead of walking up the stairs I walk right inside of the prim. I tried to use the same mesh for physics, but the result is the same. Any suggestions how to make it work?
  23. Well, thanks for the advice. I made my choice:). I will leave it alone. Instead, i will write a note instruction the user to turn their shades on for better viewing. I just want my things to be simple, not compicated. Thanks Drongle.
